Randy Workman
1945-2008

Randy Blake Workman, 62, of Wills Point went to be with his Lord June 13, 2008, in a Plano hospital.  Randy Workman was born Sept. 26, 1945, in Christian, W.Va. He was raised in Christian and attended high school in Gilbert, W.Va. Randy entered the U.S. Army on June 3, 1963, at the young age of 17. He loyally served his country from 1963 to 1965 during the Vietnam era. He later worked for Fluor International as a subcontractor for TXU. He married Audrey Hatfield on July 7,1966, in Hamden, W.Va. They made their home in Marmet and Glasgow, W.Va., before moving to Texas in 1984 and making their home at Lake Tawakoni in 1999. He was a longtime member of the (G.W.R.R.A.) Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He loved motorcycles and playing horseshoes, but most of all he loved his grandchildren and his family.

Randy and Audrey were charter members of Chapter G2.  Randy had achieved the level of  Grand Master level in the Rider Education Program. He had served as a Chapter Office in a couple of different GWRRA chapters and was recognized by Chapter G2 as one of the VIP members.

But more that all of this, Randy was a real motorcyclist. Compared to him we were all fair weather riders. He put more mile on a bike in a year than most of us do in three. And it rarely go too cold or too hot for him to ride.

We hope the Good Lord has some nice roads in Heaven for Randy to travel. While he may have been given a set of Golden Wings, the only flying he will be doing is on two wheels!

Ride on Brother Randy!
